35 and we couldve got Nzonzi
35 and we may have even got Danilo
N'Zonzi clause is 40mln. I won't deny that I'd rather have N'Zonzi than Matuidi but just slightly and only if the price would be the same. First of all they are different players. Steven seems to be more suited to 2-man midfield and he can play regista in midfield 3. He seems to be better with the ball but he's much slower and doesn't score. He has experience neither at a top club nor at international level (0 caps for France lol). How do you know he would not become another Poulsen or Krychowiak? While Matuidi has been playing for years at PSG and has 59 caps for France. He's more suited to midfield 3 but we gonna see how he deals in our setup with two CMs. I think he's a guaranteed success here for half the money N'Zonzi would cost.

Danilo? He is even less proven than N'Zonzi. In our situation we need guarantees.

So now that we bought Matuidi all of a sudden you're telling me Matuidi > Nzonzi? :baus:

Explain it how you want, Nzonzi would have been a better choice, we could have got him too but we saw and preferred the economical option.

Nzonzi is 28. We will sign him in 2 years time, perfect for Matuidi replacing then

No, N'Zonzi is lightning years ahead of Matuidi and France coaches have been saboteurs for the last 6 years playing Blaise instead of N'Zonzi. 59 caps vs 0 caps. Explain it how you want.

He plays in the french league, been first teamer for a 'bigger and better' team. He fits their system. Nzonzi was awful before he joined sevilla. This is Nzonzi's 3rd season at sevilla, yet he has been beasting in la liga and CL. You want more?

Didn't follow the news at all for some weeks now, but when I told you weeks ago he will probably sign here, I wasn't making things up.

Everything was almost done, and both PSG and Juve just waited for Matuidi's decision. His family loves Paris, and wanted to stay there, but he still didn't accept the fact that PSG didn't want to keep him at all cost (they offered him a contract extension, but also said he's free to leave, which hurt him a lot).

I take it Raiola was happy either way?

So the guy basically like to be locked in and told "you cannot leave"? Doesn't make sense tbh

I'm not saying N'Zonzi is a bad player. What I'm saying is that he's not that better than Matuidi to cost twice the money.
