He has really bad technique, kinda clumsy, his passing is far from strong. So that whole description is bogus on that alone.

I don't think that that would be a huge problem in our team though, he basically just needs to win the ball back and give it to Pjanic, Dybala or Bernardeschi, all of which are rather excellent passers.

He is good offensively (smart box to box runs, willing finisher) , runs nonstop, energetic, likes to be physical pitbull who chases down every ball (tho his defensive game ain't all that). But yeah he is far from good technically or passing Haha.

And yet for such a frantic and combative player there is this:

Haha, the quissential proof that stats are meaningless :D

As overall package he is really good, but his technique is really really really bad.

Yeah it is, but what do we need him for? Exactly as Ocelot points out, wins the ball or harries opponents into a mistake, creates tempo, gives it (almost always successfully) to someone else. We don't need another technician.

I always think players who don't look aesthetically pleasing never get credit from some quarters no matter what they do. Also I think if you run around like this madman then your technique isn't going to look very polished at all. I'm just amazed his passing stats are so high, it shouldn't be possible.
