It's been great so far. I'm pleased for Bob Odenkirk. I heard an interview with him and he seemed like a good guy.

Bob has had hit or miss shows. His stuff on IFC (The Birthday Boys) being a good example.

I think this really comes down to Vince Gilligan and the writing crew held over from BB. In a way, Saul is a good choice for a prequel/sequel/spin-off, as any other character too close to the central BB storyline would have been too much.
