I don't have much confidence in Norway, USA and Wales. Otherwise, I agree with your picks. As I say every single time, I wouldn't put them all in one multiplier, especially since all but 1 of your picks favour the away teams. Good lucky anyway ;)

I can't get over the fact that Serbia and Montenegro is abbreviated to S&M

Yeah, well, I dont have much confidence in Norway, Wales or USA either, but the odds were good so I thought I'd give it a try ;)

Anyways Don, maybe I can help too? ;)

EDIT: Argentina won 1-0 (Crespo '60), so thats one down, eight to go ;)

yo Graham i need your advice on what to bet for the weekend. seria a and epl only
It's a bit early to tell at the moment; as i said, i always wait until i've heard all the team news and check out their recent form. I'll try to post in time for you to make your picks for the weekend.

I'm not gonna tell you what to vote on though, i'll just give you my feelings, so don't go blaming me if i'm not right.

UCD to win the Irish Eircom League Division One @ 7/2

Great odds, nearly free money - they've already beaten one of the other two teams in it away. Only two rounds played, and they're on 6 points.

The odds were at 3/1, so a mate put on a tenner, but given they've lengthened somehow, I'm going to add the same. I figure it's 350% interest on my money at minimal risk.

You know what Z? I've decided to put my money where my mouth is and take you up on those teams that I doubt.

Here are my bets (in combinations, betting small amounts as always)

Paraguay - Brazil 2
Holland - France X
Sweden - England X
S&M - Norway 1
Germany - Belgium 1
Spain - Denmark 1
Peru - Colombia 1
Greece - Switzerland 1
Ireland - Czech 2
Poland - USA 1
Scotland - Romania 2
Hungary - Wales 2

You're on Z

Truth be told, you chose the best matches for away wins, but I'm just betting against them to spite you :p

You gotta admit, it's quite a fluke that Wales, Norway and USA won. It looked quite unlikely, especially USA.. Poland had won their last 7 matches prior to today :irritate:

Yeah, I got all of them right except Ireland... damn, no money for me today...

BTW, in school everyone was telling me I was crazy for betting on the US, Wales and Norway, but it seems I have the last laugh ;)

BTW, betting just to spite me is a really bad reason to throw away money :p ;)

Haha good on ya ;) You stupid bastard, I keep telling you to make different combinations of your picks, so if you get as many correct as you did this week, you'll still get money. I think you would have made a tidy sum had you not been so greedy.

Face it, you're gonna be betting on football long-term, so don't try to win a huge jackpot and kid yourself that you're gonna quit anytime soon. I admitted it a long time ago and ever since I changed my strategy, I've been doing great. Play for consistency, my friend.

btw, i didn't bet JUST to spite you, I seriously thought Poland, S&M and Hungary had a great chance to win.

Okay Don Bes, I'm not gonna place my bets for another day, but here are my preliminary picks since you wanted them by friday

I usually don't touch Arsenal - Man U with a long stick, but I see amazing value in Arsenal to win at 2.66

Fulham - Birmingham looks like a draw to me, as does Boro - Bolton

Newcastle should be able to beat Everton at home, and I'm looking at the Wolves to pull off a draw against Southampton.

Chelsea shouldn't have a hard time away to the Spurs,

I'm backing Liverpool's fortunes to change a bit, they have a good chance against Blackburn at Anfield.

In the first division, Derby have decent odds to beat Walsall at home, and I'll probably back Cardiff to beat the Gills away. Preston to beat Bradford at home looks a decent bet too IMO.

Nothing looks to seperate Reading and West Ham, so I'll mark down a draw for that match.

As always, I'll be laying Wimbledon, so go for a Wigan win at home. Norwich away to Burnley look decent too.

Onto Serie A, Sampdoria have a good chance of beating Ancona away, and Bologna - Reggina should be a home win. Lazio should in theory be stronger than Siena, and as always, i'll be backing Roma and Milan despite last week's setback

Finally to the Bundesliga: Bayern are playing much better in recent weeks, and a win away to Kaiserslautern doesn't look too difficult.

League leaders Bremen shouldn't have too much of a hard time at home to Freiburg.

------------------------------------------------------------

Now my disclaimer: As I said, these are preliminary picks, and there's a fair chance that they'll change as i see the team news coming in. These picks are based on feeling alone, so just be careful mate. Good luck, and be sure to tell us your bets ;)
