That's a redundant question, obviously I can't prove anything. Yes it's just my opinion. It doesn't mean there isn't any objectivity involved, or that things like good taste don't come into it.

"Credentials", yes, let me just whip out my "Music Critic Certificate" to show you My "credentials" (for what they're worth) are a natural and profound sense and love of music, being a musician since the age of 7 (18 years), having studied music both in a formal and informal setting, having read heavily and diversely on the subject, and owning in the region of 1,000 CDs.

Besides, no one needs credentials to laugh when someone says that 90% of Led Zeppelin is garbage, or that the Beatles were simply crap.

I would say this is simply your opinion and I think that 60% of The Beatles is good music.

I don't know, what if you did? I'd say the Beatles had a remarkable lack of filler on their albums, though it would be fair to say that their first 3 or four albums were pretty uninteresting musically. Rubber Soul was when they started to get experimental and unique.
