long before Green Street etc there was a cracking British film called ID,it's about 4 cops going undercover and trying to integrate themselves into the hooligan element of a fictional team called Shadwell, plot holes aplenty but a bloody good film

I dont really like football movies but i remember watching 'when saturday comes' with sean bean when i was a child and i liked it. The worst one ive probably seen was the one with Ally McCoist and Robert Duvall 'A shot at Glory'.

I've never seen a good football movie. I've seen a lot of those that have been mentioned in this thread (except Tifosi, I must check that one out).

"Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait" is one that hasn't been mentioned. It's crap.

That one is hilariously bad, though, which is fine.

The problem is films that are just rubbish.

Saw the documentary The two Escobar's. Very nice watch relating the lives of Andres Escobar, Pablo Escobar and Colombian football.

Green Street...how can anyone rate that as a good football movie is beyond me. A yank gets into a hardcore London firm and to top it off, it's freaking Elijah Wood. Come on! :howler:

There aren't exactly a big competition in that field you know, and that makes the difference. An average movie could well make it into the top 10 football movies not for anything but the lack of quality in that type of movies.
