I just wanted to hear about the best football movies you folks have seen. For me I haven't seen many but for Greenstreet Hooligans, Damned United, Football Factory, Goal series. Enlighten me

I don't think I have ever seen a really good football movie, I sure can't remember any.

Football Factory & Green Street Hooligans both had their moments, but were nowhere near great. Fyi: There is a Green Street Hooligans 2
The Goal series is piss poor imo, haven't even bothered to watch the 3rd one yet.
Damned United is on my to see list.

Not a great movie & extremely dated, but I found it pretty enjoyable because it gives a nice (albeit limited) insight into Italian Calcio & the Ultra culture.

A few months ago it was released on Region 2 dvd, so maybe you can find it now. I bought it for around 7€ iirc.

I'm yet to see a really good film about football.

There are any number that range from terrible to tolerable, but I can't think of any good ones.


My favourite is probably Escape To Victory. Any film that has Pele and Michael Caine in it is onto a winner.

I saw Victory yesterday. twas pretty good. Atleast stallone was wearing his clothes for most part of the movie
