FFS, Cannavaro isn't the same Cannavaro he was in Juventus and World Cup. Yes, he won the Fifa World Player of the year, thanks to us and to his great performance with Italy.
....But ATM, he's no where to be called best defender in the world. Not at all. He's been out of form since day 1 he joined real madrid, and each one who is having the chance to watch crap's team will know what i'm talking about.

I watch every game and I don't fully agree with that. I agree that he isn't the best at the moment. Though as I said, the enviroment is a factor to his performances.
Emerson goes forward a lot when the attack isn't working. Gago is useless in defence. Guti works hard but his marking skills aint fantastic. Diarra sits on the bench, he works hard, got good positioning and markig skills but his passing skills are way to sloppy for such a team and often give the opposition counter-attacks.
All and all, when Real Madrid is attacking, the Midfield has to push way up, which causes a huge gap between the midfield and defence (which for some reason defends to deep, perhaps It's Cannas fault? Lets blame Capello
) and that aint to easy to defend against, especially not against Spanish teams. The majority of them play brilliant counter football.
Cannavaro was fantastic this Saturday, I think he was m.o.m even though he got the red.

Yeah I thought about that. But then again, that was Italy this is Spain, the game is bound to differ.
I do think lpaying in Italy, with the players in Juventus around him suited him while the Spanish system doesn't. I don't like the "talent disappears over night some times" talk, and I don't think it is because he's having troubles finding a sweet ass condo.

Voted Canna, purely on the "form is temporary, class is permanent" theory. Would have liked to see Zambro up there though! If our lame excuse for a board actually gets off its collective fat a$$ long enough this summer to sign Barzagli, I hope his name will top a similar poll by the end of Euro 2008. With us, he'd mature & develop enough to become a sure-fire starter for Italy by the time the championship comes round. I see him as a long-term replacement for Nesta in the azzurri line-up. A pairing of him & Milan's Bonera is the 1st time I've seen anything capable of replacing Canna/Nesta. Hope both continue their progress, & Barzagli is bianconero by July!!!!!!!
