You could see that those Chinese dancers were awfully tired too.The were hardly moving together at the end.I was hoping to catch a glimpse of Messi when Argentina walked in but the cameras never showed him.

the opening ceremony was an appropriate presentation of China's 5000 years history and culture, none of the part of perform was tedious or pointless. one who wants to understand those parts which didnt cause much vision stimulate should read more about China's history and learn more about the culture, and those were the most important parts in this ceremony

The tradition says that the hosting country needs to present their history and culture, well unlike other countries, China has a long long history illustrate.
It was a spectacular ceremony, many of the tricks were used again and again in previous ceremonies, but the Chinese made a step further, imagine being there and living these moments, imagine being an athlete and savor these moments/memories for the rest of your life...
Out of respect to them the Chinese expanded their ceremony a bit more than the tele-spectators could tolerate...

Woh there, buddy. The Olympics opening ceremony is a tad more worthwhile than a half time show. You're comparing a guy who's handing out leaflets to the New York Times here.
