Common Erik! He was our top scorer and played some truly magnificent football in the first half of the season and scored some spectacular goals in the second half. Surely you don't mean what you're saying, because you were never singing this tune before.

He used to be much better. True, he was good in the first half of the season but most of the time, especially in the latter stages, he was just walking around as if he was some youngster purchased by Moggi last season.

This guy is supposed to be Mr Juventus! Nedved was gone in the CL final and where was Del Piero? Virtually invisible! He should have stood up right there, taken the lead and bloody well drag his team to victory if he's really as good as everyone says he is.

Just because a player isn't as good as people make him out to be, it doesn't mean that he's not any good. Sometimes even the most inspirational players can't quite make the contribution that you expect from them. It might be down to injuries, whether major or small and niggling, tiredness, whether physical or mental, a lack of form, or just a good man-marker.

We make players out to be icons, but they're not. Del Piero's jsut another player, a little better than most, but not invincible, not unstoppable. How many players in Europe made the contribution of Nedved to their team last season? Two? Three?

Right, before we start introducing dozens of new details, trailing off-topic and pushing this thing out, over and across: what I meant was that Del Piero can do better than he did last season and, to me, that's a fact.

Because he can do better than he did last season means that he had a terrible season? Common man! :(

First you say I talk bullshit and then you make a peace offer? Do me a favour - don't go and try and dissolve a major conflict. Ever. ;)
You ARE talking bullshit and I stand by that, but I simply don't want to quarrel with you as I have better things to do.

It's Italian for mad as in Sei Matto? Are you mad? It's a joke thing - you kind of had to be there.

So don't start the conflict if you don't plan on ending it.

If I try to finish it it will just go on and on and on because you never admit when you're wrong, and that's a fact.

I admit when I'm wrong just as often as anyone around here thank you.

So maybe "terrible" was too strong a word but I stand by this:

what I meant was that Del Piero can do better than he did last season and, to me, that's a fact.
