arda is more versatile and schweinsteiger looks like david hasselhoff's ass on crack...i dont think he'd fit the juve squad we have assembled...adding turan would give us a player that can add depth and creativity to any position in our midfield and could be the perfect utility player in case of injury. he'd find good playing time and the room to gain experience before he blooms into a superstar

Do you really think Arda Turan is better than Bastian Schweinsteiger? I mean sure, he's certainly talented, but Bastian is still only 23 and already has 55 caps for Germany. He's a mainstay at Bayern and a damn good weapon.

What is with all this stuff about blasting Bayern players? First it was Podolski and now it's Schweiny.

Schweini is not a top player, but a very good player still.

Him prefering Arda over him is simple Andy, its all about watching Schweini for years and knowing he isnt awesome but a quite good player. While Arda is a player he hardly seen except couple of times, not enough to notice his limits and flaws like a player you seen for years, but is promising enough that unknown quality about him (of basically not seeing him) makes your image of the player seem like he can be awesome.

They are in a different stage, when it comes to how people can view you as a player, the latter has the luxury of hype to ride on and the what if side to it that paints a prettier picture then he prolly is, its easy ones mind skips from a talent to a big talent when the factor of the unknown is in play ( you get predictions "can bloom on to a super star" without showing much yet, before you to play and dissapoint these exaggerated predictions).

While in the case of the former, you pretty much know what you will get after years of being in top level football, you have gauged his strenghts and limits and know most of it (has not the luxury anymore to be perceived as someone that can "bloom into a superstar" because he already passed that stage when he was younger).

This may not entirely be the case for this KhalidKassim poster, but nontheless dont ever understimate the power of imagination ;)

That really kind of nullifies your statement and opinion, doesn't it.

Who says Turan wouldn't flop? I mean it's not guaranteed that Turan would become a Serie A superstar. Serie A isn't exactly the MLS, but the last time I checked playing football in Italy can be difficult.

Adding any player gives depth to a squad, as in there is another body to bring on. The truth is Turan doesn't do anything that Schweinsteiger doesn't do. He doesn't have the same experience on a national or a club lever. Schweinsteiger has 55 caps and 18 or so goals, including goals in both the World Cup and the Euros. That said, I haven't seen much of Turan's play in Turkey. But I can't see how performing well in Turkey or anywhere for that matter translates into becoming a superstar in Serie A. To say that about anyone is very nieve.

Schweinsteiger Ready For Juve
Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger's fine performances at Euro 2008 have attracted the interest of Juventus.

After ten years spent at Bayern Munich, Germany star Bastian Schweinsteiger feels like it's time to move on. One club who have been interested in the 23-year-old for some time are Juventus, and the player himself is allegedly flattered by their interest.

Until now, his performances at Euro 2008 have been excellent. If he caps his tournament off with a great performance in tonight's final against Spain, the gates of heaven would open up for him, allowing the player to ask for a salary increase. His current wages are in fact not very high, particularly if compared with those of his team mates.

Bayern would like to keep him, as they are always reluctant to give away their best players, but they are also known to act quickly when they stand to make a good profit. But the lad isn't cheap: the buy-out clause in Schweinsteiger's contract is around 20 million euros.

I think Schwein is a bit overated he made some good plays for Germany but it looks more a little spark than how he usually plays
I think his overall (current) ability is good but not excellent but here and there he gives a good game and shines

I think we should look to some better options

I watch him every game, and you are blatantly wrong.
