1994 was such a fabulous year for baseball in this country. I only hope they'll take a cue from the NHL this season and return to their roots. ;)
:D I would die a happy man seeing Baseball shut down.

LOL Not at all.

Infact the new shite team in DC "the Nationals" are fvcking up RFK Stadium, the home of DC United and soccer in our Nation's Capital. Since the Nationals took over RFK stadium they turned the pitch into a sand lot of course, and for soccer it's not in good shape. Also, since the baseball season runs through the summer, there will be no National team matches to go to because their will be a conflict with baseball. Moreover, for this same reason, the Champions World Series of the top European clubs will not be looking into playing at RFK because of baseball, so there goes my local chance to see the top clubs. I'll have to do some travelling to NY or Toronto to see some good soccer.

Thanks Washington for bringing such a shite team and shite sport back to our Capital.

Well, well the Yankees, the greatest choke act of the past 2 centuries, is in the bottom of the barrel with their 200 million payroll, how ironic that A-Rod alone makes more money a year than the whole Devil Rays team. As for the Baseball haters, I really doubt you could carry this attitude having tried playing or been to a ballgame. Cheers to the Red Sox Nation and to America's pastime

Actually I played baseball for about 7 years, so I know what I'm talking about. It's a bore and a horrible sport.

baseball or softball ? I have to admit that playin the outfield isnt as fun as let's say pitchin or battin but it's still a very fun game that requires a lot of skill, but hey i am not goin to argue your taste i enjoy it personally and could not bear the thought of having it disappear.

I played a lot of positions, and personally I loved to pitch. Other than that it was boring and a waste of time. While I was in the field I was thinking about playing a good sport like soccer.
