I don't know why but i can't see us winning this one or even coming close. Hopefully we'll make a good account of ourselves though, its not good for morale and reputation if you get outclassed in one of these glamour friendlies

I don't understand the reason for having a tough friendly this close to the start of the season. Why don't the players get a week's rest after the supercup match?

Wtf is wrong with you. We are the Champions of Italy. Why would we stand chanceless vs Barcelona? What a joke.
With injuries on Buffon and etc, yes, it will be a hard one. But it's seriously annoying to see you clowns crying like we were Lecce or something because we lose one game (in overtime).

With our strongest 11 we are a better team than Barca. Better goalkeeper by far, stronger defence no doubt, equally good midfield, and 4 classy forwards to chose between while they have only Etoo in the same class.

Forza Juve!

Excuse me?

Its alright disagreeing but there's no need to call people clowns because they're pessimistic/realistic (depending on your viewpoint!)

From your post, it seems to me you're being overly optimistic. Eto'o is certainly better than delpiero and trezeguet. Mutu at his best is equal to him as it Zlatan.

The midfields aren't really comparable. Ours is certainly workmanlike and more solid whereas FCB's is infinitely more creative (deco, Xavi, Ronaldinho etc)

Our defence is stronger on paper but don't forget the main two are ageing.

And its irrelavant that our strongest 11 is "better" anyway cos most of them won't be playing anyway! So it seems to me a fairly logical conclusion to draw that we might lose this game.

i dnt care what team goes out i just hope he doesnt play zlatan, we really can not afford to have him injured going into the start of the season. he is the key to our season.

id give zalayeta a game, to keep him happy and maybe give mutu some more playing time to build up his fitness. also start kovac and gianni.

And when is it not a fairly logical conclusion to draw that we might lose?
"I can't see us winning this one or even coming close" isn't really what you just said.
Stop being so pessimistic.

Anyway, with the upcoming Serie A première I do believe we should not play all our best men in a friendly. But guess what, maybe Barcelona is thinking the same. And I believe this team can get at least a draw;

Abbiati
Zebina Kovac Cannavaro Zambrotta
Camoranesi Giannichedda Emerson/Vieira Nedved
Mutu Del Piero/Zalayeta

Forza Juventus!
