Legit question. Why do people still care about this trophy?
This used to be about best players, now it's a popularity contest.
Lewa would need score at least 100 goals and he still wouldn't win because his name isn't ending in 'si' and he doesn't do enough useless dribling.

There was really no outstanding candidate this year that was way above the others. In years like these they always give it to whoever was better between Messi and Ronaldo. In many ways this award will become much more interesting once those two retire or become completely irrelevant. I do feel for Lewa though who definitely deserved it last year.
