There were some unforgettable moments:

1. The very good summer mercato where our directors proved that they're up there with the best in Europe.
2. Smartly investing the money in a great attacker and a very good DMC like Poulsen.
3. Adding great depth to the team.
4. Molinaro performing better and better. He developed into the best LB in serie A
5. Successfully fullfiling the 5 year plan. The future looks bright.
6. Being 2nd even though we should have been 7th judging by the summer predictions.
7. Smartly using 4-4-2 with two ball winners in midfield, instead of buying some lightweight "creative" MC.
8. Ranieri outsmarting most of his rival coaches.
9. Signing new contracts with our future stars Giovinco, Molinaro, Marchisio and De Ceglie.
10. Beating the shit out of the superior Milan.

Provocative? As in you exaggerated it on purpose? Because there is no way Poulsen can be judged as very good or smart investment so far at all. Amauri defenitely, Poulsen, no sirrey. Not bad, but cant be praised for it either.

Nor judged knowing that Poulsen has been absent for quite some time now.

Smart in a way that look at what a Sissoko substitute coming in the second half of the season. We are coming into a tough second half in the league and second stages CL and we don't want to end up being sloppy and tired like we usually do. Sissoko cannot play 180 minutes per week and extreme level and perform at the same level game in game out. That's where Poulsen comes in.

That's also what Giovinco will do with Del Piero

I get that, the need for depth and adding to it allways good, thats the only thing I was was good of when we signed him. But we cant praise his signing, because he hasnt had an impact yet, because as you said he has been absent. Individually, the quality he has for this team cant be judged yet. Too soon. Thats all.

But, otherwise I agree with you of how useful it will be to have some to fill in for the necessary ballwinning work when Momo cant play. Tiago isnt a ballwinner, and Marchisio and Zanetti can do a decent enough job, but not be dominating ballwinners on their own. I know Poulsen has that capability from how vital he was for Sevilla, so in a way, he adds to the squad as you described.
