UEFA president Čeferin: "Italy? They are too important. They must qualify for EURO 2024 otherwise it would be a disaster."

What a coincidence

:klin:
he probably made a promise to his interista buddy gravina

italy are still likely to qualify, they have a game in hand and are yet to play two inferior teams, but imagine the scenes when italy won't make it, gravina loses his chair at next year's figc presidential election, and ceferin ends up with a useless uefa vice president with zero influence on a high salary because of the brilliant job he's done for his petty vendetta on juventus. that would be glorious

Only if it leads to actual structural change, otherwise we'll just end up in the same situation down the road.

worst Italian side i've ever seen , I don't see any star in this team and most likely they miss the next WC.
Nah that conte team where freaking Pele and Eder was leading the line that was lel

2002 i blame the refs though. Byrone Moreno or what ever his name was. Not that Italy would have won the whole thing cause they finished 2nd in the group, maybe they would not have met Korea had they won their group. Trapattoni was already past his prime. 2004 cant just excuse Denmark-Sweden fix. Bulgaria was trashed by both. Italy even was losing 1:0 half time. Sweden beat them 5:0.

France 1984 won. 1988 failed to qualify.

But it was only 8 team tournament too.
Trapatoni should have called Baggio for that tournament

HTH was it Frattesi missing the last one. Like a PK get the ball in the air and the goalie has no shot at the save. No he hits it along the ground.

Completely controlled the first half. 66-34% poss ad, 7-0 corners, 16-5 crosses but still 0-0. Need that first goal and having to endure a Max type Juve struggle to get a draw. Chiesa missed a bunny early on too.

Chiesa is MOM so far but he looks out of gas and might need to come out. Sloppy on a few moves trying to dribble ball out of own end. Italy playing Friday and Ukraine didn't doesn't help.
