DR: Florenzi, Di Lorenzo, D'Ambrosio, Calabria, Zappacosta
DL: Spinazzola, Emerson, De Sciglio, Biraghi
Other: Santon, Darmian

Hardly the strongest area of the team but also not so weak that it becomes decisive. Probably one strong right back away from being a good selection.

Funny that we have 2 potential Azzurri left backs with Frabotta and Pellegrini.

I like Florenzi the most from all the RB, sadly you can’t rely on him. By far our weakest spot.

That pass from Barella is beautiful. Slowly but surely he’s becoming the most important player on that midfield. Verratti is to much injured and Locatelli is capable of doing what Jorginho does. Barella really grow a lot in the last 12 months. Needs to unlearn making stupid tackles and getting a yellow card every game now.

well played. it seems like these guys genuinely enjoy playing football together.
They really seem to. Mancini's word when taking over from Ventura, his plan was "to bring enthusiasm back to the national team". At least he can say confidently that he succeeded in this. Players and fans are excited for each match.

The way Insigne is playing sums it up. MOTM and most importantly player at the moment, reminds the contrast of him sitting on the bench and Ventura tries to bring on De Rossi in the last moments of a failed world cup qualification.

This lineup should be the core for the euros imo, depending on form. Verratti coming in for Locatelli, then some changes in defense. Barella will surely start every big match.

If there were no injuries:

Insigne, Belotti, Berardi
Chiesa, Bernardeschi, Immobile

Barella, Jorginho, Verratti
Locatelli, Pellegrini, Gagliardini

Spinazzola, Chiellini, Bonucci, Di Lorenzo
Emerson, Acerbi, Romagnoli, Florenzi

Donnarumma
Sirigu, Silvestri

Leaving behind Zaniolo, Sensi, Castrovilli, Caputo, and Bastoni seems like a shame, but the competition is fierce.

Id always choose Immobile over Belotti in the starting line up
