Was it me or did Xavi have the same hairstyle as Ace Ventura Pet Detective tonight? Also Buffon seriously made a meal out of Xavi's shot which eventually got pushed against the post. Nearly shiit myself.

It's all easy to say "oh Giac should go ahead of Bonucci" to take a pen, but the reality is, the manager normally asks who is fit to take one or who feels confident. I respect those unlikely candidates who step up to take them.
Bah good point but looking just before the buffon cuddle and shootout bonucci looked well pumped up and for an old fashioned cb before penalties that's never a good thing because they only have thing in mind. Aim for Armstrong.

Spain isn't going away, not as long as Iniesta is there. Guy is a freak, even without the magic Spanish doctors.

Really hope Insigne, Balo and El Sha are all in good form next season..

I'm still of the belief of Aqua>Olivemount.

For me Maggio and Giak were superb in the first half, and even though they faded after the break they played on tirelessly. Candreva impressed me a great deal, Marchisio without doubt played his best game of the tourney and De Rossi and Chiellini were both at their imperious best in defence.

Too bad Giladino was utterly invisible in attack, this guy just can't cut it for the Azzurri any more. Really I think it is a no brainer that Balo is our leading man, but then take out Gila and give Quag another run in the blue shirt, pray Rossi can get back to his pre-injury best, and then have SES and Gio in the back pocket (one or the other or both); if that isn't enough then I still have belief that Di Natale is worth taking to the next world cup, have some experience on the bench doesn't hurt.

I'm also expecting great things of Immobile and Insigne (as well as Manolo), hopefully they start breaking through as of next year.

He always seem to have some trick to outwit the oppositions. When you think he's cornered down he manages to pull out some brilliant solution. Gotta admire the guy. Their key player imo.

Instead of putting Astori instead of Barzagli Prandelli once again showed his love to his foster-son Montolivo and this decision has ruined whole gameplay for Italy and Pirlo especially because they are interfere with each other on the field

I cannot humanly articulate my hatred for Montolivo, I do not know what either Lippi or Prandelli saw/sees in him. Poor Nocerino not being used in last year's Euro's and not even in this squad!

$#@!ing wish we kept Candreva. He would have been brilliant under Conte
It isn't too late, I really think Juve should seriously consider him, he'd be a great link between midfield and attack. Unlike Giak he's a great finisher, unlike Gio he has physicality, unlike Vucnic he isn't lazy.

Nah.

He'd do better than Krasic, but not by an awful lot.

Isn't intelligent enough to play in a non-counter-attacking team because he pretty much always needs open ground ahead of him to run into.
