Exactly. What annoys me the most is the commentators who were just going nuts over Spain. Don't get me wrong, fantastic team far better on the night but not once did they mention the fact that we were down to 10. They kept saying how could we doubt the Spaniards as if they haven't been a bit lucky. This isn't sour grapes, they fully deserve it based on tonight but yeah Italy overall didn't deserve to lose like that, go to 10 men etc. It really fell Spain's way. Di Natale choking hard again.
I was expecting Spain to overpower the midfield.
But due to the fact that they were playing without forward, i was expecting that Italy would last longer and probably find a way to exploit their average defensively defence.
But Italy's defense is not what it was used to be.
Chiello is the only top class defender and this wasnt his year, without him, the defense was bound to collapse, taking the whole team with her...
I dont know what Italy can do to improve those defensive issues, i see talents raising up in all lines, but the defense seems to lack options.
At any case the lads did well and reached the final, which not a small thing.
