Honestly this italjuve of Prandelli lacks that extra factor, that grinta, stamina whatever that Conte instills in the players, that makes them push extra hard, even when they're pinned back they give it an extra push, which takes the opponents by surprise and forces them to back down, kneel.
Anyways at least it somehow gives us a halfassed demo of what Juve's capable of doing in the next CL.
Lets see how this extra factor would work against teams of Barca/Real calibre which the Azzurri had to face today.

Read his interviews. Very annoying guy. Which is weird. Most Napoli bred players are kind of funny.
Like I care :D

Never liked him but it was mainly Donadoni's fault.

Wouldnt put the blame 100% on Giac though, but yeah, Balzaretti would probably make a better wingback.

This 3-5-2 really is going to be interesting in the coming games. Many players look so much better with it. Balotelli and Cassano's movement upfront was very good, Maggio is more in his element as a wingback in this formation. De Rossi as a passing CB is great too. Barzagli coming back from injury. I'm loving it.

Really feel we can win this EURO.

Beast perfomance by Italian team, unfortunately it was Giacch mistake when Spain scored, he didn't mark Fabregas properly, that's why Balzaretti should play

I'd still blame Chiellini for the goal, or at least the lack of communication between him and Giac. Look at the first picture. Chiellini covers the area and suddenly decides to break the defensive line, run towards Silva, leave the entire space open and fail to stop Silva from passing to the empty space. If Giorgio stayed put, Cesc would have ran straight to him and Silva wasn't gonna have a passing option. Giaccherini might have done better, but it wasn't his job at all to mark the Spanish only striker running straight to Chiellini. It was Giorgio's job and he made a wrong judgement to leave his spot.

P.S: On second thought, it was a really great play from the Spaniards and that's the main reason why Italy conceded here. Just look at the final instance. 8 Italian players there and the Spanish made some excellent one-two's, followed by an amazing assist. They simply outplayed the defense.

No way, that was alot De Rossi's fault in that play. He was marking Silva and then all of a sudden he thought Bonucci and Maggio wouldn't cover Iniesta's run so left Silva and Chiellini had to close down Silva leaving the huge gap between De Rossi and Giaccherini. Giaccherini was already trailing Fabregas and Chiellini would have been there if De Rossi hadn't left Silva.

Actually, you're right. I can't recognize all the players but there is one player (I guess De Rossi, as you say) who is covering Silva in the first picture and then he suddenly disappears, which forced Chiellini to cover Silva. If that's De Rossi, then he indeed shouldn't have decided to go for Iniesta and should have stayed with Silva.

Is there a fucking video? It's really hard to judge from the photos. :)

He tracked Fabregas half heartedly at first when imo there wasn't an imminent danger, so yeah he was partially at fault; but other movements played an important part in exposing that gap.

He should have done better indeed. My point is that there MUSTN'T have been empty space for Cesc to run into. Even if Giacc followed Fabregas and marked him, it's no excuse to have so much empty space in your box. Chiellini should have been there and he wasn't there because someone else (De Rossi) made a mistake and left Silva open. It was more or less a team mistake, followed by some great play from the Spaniards. You just can't leave a striker running into the box, with no CB even close to him.

Yup, definitely De Rossi. He started the whole mess. Then Giacc followed with his lack of defensive experience (he's an attacker after all).

I'm already a little worried about how de Rossi is going to cope with 2 forwards against Croatia. It seemed to me that when Torres came on he was pretty exposed as a makeshift centerback. Thank God for Torres' awful finishing.

Italian goal it's a mix of Pirlo passing skills, Di Natale's speed and finishing skills but at first it's mistake by ramos who was tryin' to make not needed offside trap. I wonder Ramos is so poor as CB, why the fuck he is still playin' on that position?!

Different kind of football that Spain and Croatia play. You can bet your life that the two tall Croat forwards won't beat the offside trap and run into space the way Torres was doing, nor there will be a Xavi or Xabi to send a ball in space for the forwards. It might be different if Eduardo starts instead of one of Mandzukic and Jelavic. Olic will be missed against Italy. He is perfect for breaking tight defenses with his runs from deep.

Lack of better alternatives? It's not like Spain produces quality CB nowadays, nor do any other country for that matter.
