You are talking about Ogbonna, who has a chance to start, while my main reaction for that lineup is how suprising it would be if he chose Diamanti to start in that midfield, even if I would like him to try something different like that (adds something Monto and Marchisio cant), but seems unlikely.

Not rumoured to start, apparently assumed lineup is this:

buffon; ogbonna, de rossi, chiellini; maggio, diamanti, pirlo, motta, giaccherini; cassano, balotelli
wtf. at least Giacch has experience in playing for a Scudetto winning team. are you kidding me Diamanti and Ogbonna vs Spain???

Giaccherini is nowhere near good enough for a world class team. Not even close. If Italy had just a tiny bit of the talent Spain has, Giaccherini wouldn't even be named in the squad. I like the guy, but let's be honest here.

I still think Bonucci and Marchisio will start.
Well, Marchisio should.

Maybe he's afraid of a Bono fkup and killing confidence. Anyway i like that he still wants to be daring with the line-up. Nothing to lose really.
Need to give support to Balo because he's the wild card.

This is the expected lineup I've read:

Buffon; Bonucci, De Rossi, Chiellini; Maggio, Motta, Pirlo, Marchisio, Giaccherini; Balotelli, Cassano.

You know.. once Alex didn't play for Italy anymore, my enthusiasm for the team has really gone downhill. If anything I'd support them because one of my best friends is Italian, but then again another one is Russian, so I'd support Russia just as well. This team just doesn't attract me I guess. The quality is at an all time low IMHO and just now I am starting to realise how much of my supporting really had to do with Del Piero.

Same here even though Alex was never a vital part of the Azzurri. I still support them, first because of the likes of Buffon and Chiellini and second because Italy winning it is always better than Spain, Germany or France doing so.
