I streamed the game while I was in my literature class and managed to follow most of the game. We played decently and a draw was a fair result. Chiellini was quite good on the left while buffon was decent.
Thiago motta sucked though.
It was overall a very decent game. If Italy can build on this, they can have a bright future and perhaps have a chance to do something decent at euro 2012.
Montolivo was by far the worst player on the pitch along with Mauri. Can't believe the Fiorentina man played 90 minutes, Mauri how did he ever get a call up? Cossu deserves his spot.
They did well Alen, showed good encouraging signs. Young team, energetic and fast in movement (2nd half). Besides couple of average hacks (mentionned in above post), generally encouraging stuff from Azzurri.
No, I don't think that's true. They've finally gotten rid of the old guard. The attack looks very strong. Rannochia-Chiellini-Bonnuci look like a good defense line. There is a weakness at the right back position. As for the midfield, De Rossi and Aquilani look good, and we'll see if Thiago Motta can prove himself.

Didn't watch the match, I'm just teasing the fanboys
Italy usually needs a semi-talented squad to do well in big tournaments so of course I'll always give them the chance. Also, my impression is that their players are kinda more patriotic than players of some other teams and they put the NT much above their clubs. That also means a lot in tournaments.
Still, knowing the players Prandelli has at his disposal, I would guess that this team still needs a lot.
