Why isn't Amauri singing? He wants to represent Italy yet he doesn't want to sing the anthem? Why is he even playing for Italy? Stuff like that annoy me, same thing with many of the players in Germany.

There are many things that annoy you, it's easier to list what does NOT annoy you, it's a very small list.

He said he'll not sign and there's nothing strange about it. He also said that he will celebrate if he scores against Brazil eventually. Stop making drama out of everything.

Positive things IMO (for future, not based on this match only)

- Bonucci, Motta - they will do good
- Chiellini will do great, nothing new though
- Balotelli, Cassano will be amazing
- Amauri will be great, he is yet to explode

Negative

- Pepe should be good for us, but not for this Italy
- Molinaro is clueless and he is hurting their left side. He's killing it like Grygera killed ours all these years

On the other side, De Rossi should be captain and not Buffon when he comes back. It's stupid to have a GK captain.

The old Italy was clueless but this one is talented and if they polish it they will be very good. There are yet things to be fixed but they did more for 40' thanold Italy for the whole World Cup.

It's tradition, it might seem stupid to you but I would point out one thing: Dino Zoff

Being talented is one thing but it doesn't necessarily mean that it will be a very good team, there is a lot of work to do looking at this game, the team is showing a lot more going forward but looks very open on the defensive side. It's a difficult job for Prandelli, he has picked all the most talented players but they can often be the hardest players to gel into a team.

This guy and Pepe can fuck themselves and do everything asked by their coach but we here will always complain.

Prandelli was the coach that 90% here wanted. The first thing he does is calling the "two worst players in Juve's recent history". Lippi also played Pepe in the starting line-up. Ranieri was playing Molinaro all the time. Del Neri plays Pepe.

Now is it me or those who are getting millions to coach are seeing something you don't see?

So because of that they should keep up with the tradition?

Yes, for me, I'm not speaking for others when I'm pointing out something like that. The captain is somebody that boosts moral and has a privilege when you have to tell something to the ref. So yes, for me it's very stupid to let Buffon or ANY other GK have it. No disrespect towards him, he's a legend, but it has nothing to do with it.

You see, now there's talent means that it can be polished with a lot of pain. The old Italy was just dull and there couldn't be any improvements whatsoever.

Work rate.

There aren't any better options for them. They get millions and I'm not an expert but it's what I think.

Like I said, Pepe is good for us but I don't think he'll do some great job there. Yes, sometimes he will do better but overall he will cause damage to the team. As for Molinaro, no, I don't think he's any good and yes I might be wrong.

If he's playing under those coaches doesn't have to mean I'll nod with my head and agree with everything. Grosso played too and I never liked the guy.

I personally think that a captain should normally be a central defender, because they are in the position to see the whole game and get their point across, maybe a goalkeeper is too far back, but different captains do it in different ways, they don't all scream out instructions.

But as we are talking about Italy, who give the armband to the most capped player, I don't see why that would change now :p

Was that Molinaro who fucked it up?

Oh yes, I forgot to mention biggest negative thing IMO:

- Their bench full of limited players.

Overall it's one Italy that can be very good eventually, with a lot of work.

I'll post in this thread as the other one is just moronic. I didn't really learn anything from the game, Cassano and Balotelli can show some nice skill, shocker. Attack was ok first half, defence dodgy. Second half defence was a little better even if they did concede in that half, mostly because Italy had some better possession in the last 20 minutes especially. Ivory Coast were quite happy to counter attack at that point. Once Italy made the flurry of subs it became more and more disjointed, Italy's players were just trying stupid flicks and trying cameo moves, I've seen it all before.

Ivory Coast looked spritely and passed the ball at pace at times, they are dangerous but lack a bit of finesse, just as well. The funniest thing in the game, other than Motta's defending, was their caretaker coach desparate for the result, with his minimal changes and even a 92' one to waste time, funny for a friendly but understandable.

Italy friendlies are normally as much fun as having your teeth pulled and this was only slightly better, just because players were trying things to impress in the first half in particular, even if they hardly ever came off.
