See.. I think he might be. Neither player has ever scored as consistently as Giovinco has done or reached his quality when he played for Parma.

I understand Conte's decision, but I don't agree with it.
Yeah maybe it's not that straight forward with Giovinco and SES but the latter works harder so I get why Conte rates him higher.

I guess even if you'd rate them equally you'd go for the one playing in Serie A as opposed to the MLS.

Btw despite the fact I can see his point, this once again proves what a massive cunt he can be. There was no need to insult the MLS like that.

Di Francesco won't leave Sassuolo. I think Ventura is the most likely to take over and continue where Conte left off with the 352.
I know, but I do think EDF is the type that would be in the running in the future. Montella would be another option I'd explore, I think he'd allow some of them to express themselves. I'm not sold on Ventura personally even though his Torino showed glimpses of being fairly decent.

El sharaawy works hard, good teamplayer (can play left mid) and scores goals now and then wether its as winger or forward. I prefer Giovinco but I understand why El Sha is ahead of him now, plus the added bonus of being quite bit younger then him.

The odd thing is I never really took notice of his workrate until I saw him at the stadium against Napoli. Now I agree with you.

At the same time it was also as if he wasn't very sure of himself. Scared to dribble at times.

But, all things considered, you could argue why you'd take him over Giovinco, definitely. Now why you'd take Eder..

No reason whatsoever to take Eder, considering he hasnt scored shit since January. Mediocre brazilian that was doing well in mid level team, is now enough for Italy, that more then anything is the biggiest downgrade of all.

No to Eder. As a LW hes behind Insigne and El Shaarawy and as a CF both Zaza and Pelle should be ahead of him at this point given he had a mediocre run with a mediocre inter

I think Ventura is someone who could continue where Conte left off because he plays similar formation and on top of that he has shown the ability to give Italian youth a chance. Short term option but much prefer him over Montella.

An added bonus is that he also gets more out of mediocre attackers (Cerci, Immobile and Belotti) and Italy really don't have anything else at the moment.

Insigne this season >>>>>>> Giovinco Parma.

And I say this as someone who is a Gio fan.

Yeah he has lost steam in last two months, but he pretty much reached a level Gio didnt this season IMO, performing for alot more competetive team to boot.

In any case I think either player is a poor excuse for an Italy striker. I even rate Mertens higher than them and I'm not the biggest Mertens fan (contrary to all other Belgians it seems).

Feeling confident for Belgium's first match?
Oh talentwise we are a whole lot better. But Italy has that strong Juve defense and we tend to lose ourselves in possession of the ball, as in passing it around but going nowhere. If Italy kan keep it tight at the back, I can see a Candreva counter happening.

If we don't win against Italy I will consider it a disgrace however. There can't be excuses for these Belgian players to lose against that team.
