Prandelli loves the 4-3-1-2, I think he'll use it regardless of Montolivo's injury. Verratti would be interesting in the trequartista spot. I rather see him there than Motta, Aquilani or Marchisio there.

poor rossi left behind by lippi in 2010 and now by prandelli... his last chance will be in russia where he will be 31... but guess thats the age to play for italy

How would a hypothetical 4 man back line with this squad actually work? There's not one LB...

De Sciglio used to play there iirc, but still.
could only be him or chillini ?
well he could have picked criscitio but i guess that guy is even worser... haven't seen him play in a long time
