Ye i feel bad for Monto, Prandelli would just put blind faith in him though and start him in the big games when we know he cant handle it. I dont mind him being back up but he is not good enough to start for the national team at a world cup.

On another note, does anyone have the new Azzurri shirt? Just wondering if they fit the same as previous years, don't know if it was just me but they looked to fit even tighter on the players than usual, so I'm not sure if I should size up or not. I usually wear a small, with mediums I tend to swim in the fabric (unless it's women's cut). I'd go try one on but the Puma store here is being remodeled.

That's how I feel. It must suck to come so close to possibly his last WC and then get injured, I feel for him, but I do think its a blessing in disguise. Italy already have some decent midfield depth. (Pirlo, De Rossi, Marchisio, Verratti, Thiago Motta and dare I say it…Aquilani.) Montolivo definitely won't make or break Italy's campaign.

People calling Montolivio head for Azzuri, yet stick with Marchi. Both have been to some extend anonymous in the NT.

The Italian NT is midfield is mainly Pirlo and De Rossi under Prandelli. Other players have just come in and out.
Hopefully Motta does help this time, he had a good season with PSG.
