I wonder why Acerbi and Silvestre (The Italien one) weren't called up to the national team setup.

In any case, I think Gio and Borini will have a huge impact, alongside Balotelli. Chiellini and Buffon need to be colossal at the back, if Italy are to have any chance of salvaging anything from this tournament.

We're fucked now...no Barzagli...half of our starting defence is gone. Hopefully Bonucci will keep up his form towards the end of the season (minus coppa final).

Yes I said we. We Italy we we weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

if italy reaches the semi's i'll consider this a huge success. I'm pretty sure we'll see the germans or the dutch lift the trophy this time. And this is coming from an italian

Now all that is left is Marchisio to suffer a knock, Pirlo to get a flu and all Juve players will get a healthy rest ready for Juventus next season.

I don't know if this has been posted here yet but :tuttosport:

"When my exclusion [from the Italy team] was announced, the coach said, in the presence of [FIGC vice-president Demetrio] Albertini, that if there was an injury someone would call me," Criscito told reporters.

"I'm so sorry for Andrea. I support all my friends and I hope and believe that he can still participate in the European Championship.

"However I will continue to ensure that I am ready [for a recall]."
