Yep, translated words from FI

"Witsel was an opportunity that emerged and with the collaboration of Zenit we submitted the player to a medical. In the end Zenit were unable to sign a replacement, so we consider this to be merely a delayed move.

“Over the last few weeks Witsel has repeatedly stated he wants to come here and play for Juventus.”

Very likely Beppe is gonna bring him at winter. AFCON is scheduled from 14 Jan to 5 Feb, with Gabon as a host (Lemina is out) and Ghana is one of the main favourites(Asa) it doesn't look good for our midfield.

i guess that depends on performances. look at pepe. was perfectly fine as a starter untill his injury
you're right, but that team wasn't supposed to fight for cl glory.

witsel wouldn't start for juve 2 years ago. that's our best midfield in a decade, that should be the benchmark we're sticking to. pjanic is quality, so are marchisio and khedira, but witsel is not at the same level.

And that is the cost of doing business for free transfers.
thats 0.5M less than Pjanic and more money than 90% of our other players get. also, thats what we were offering to him this summer according to reports, so it has nothing to do with him being free. anyway, what i was trying to say is, people are bitching about Hernanes and his 3M wages constantly, imagine what will happen with this guy, especially if he doesent perform on a starter caliber level
