Right. A strain of deadly influenza that has no cure and can infect thousands within day under the right circumstances. No problem at all, really.

Sorry for the flowery language, Erik, as we know you are the only true queen of drama.
People who die, die of dehydration, basically.

You have no idea how bad SARS was in HK.
Sure the overall result was not AS bad as projected but then the potential of it was so great due to them not having any clue how to treat it or the proper way to do the proper diagnosis.

Only good thing right now is that Avian flu cannot be trasmitted from ppl to ppl. Imagine if Avian flu is trasmittable between human, you would have the 1st batch of infected spreading the flu with the thought that they have normal flu.

And this is what scientists are concerned with. If the avian flu somehow mutates or combines with typical influenza, the world would have a lethal outbreak on the cards.

    It's not worth risking
Don't know about this particular one but most of the viruses can get you a food-poisoning die in as low as 50-60 degrees Celsius. I don't know about the fluviruses but I'd guess wouldn't be that different. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

But it will not be that serious as is predicted. At least I hope so...
