Why would I want to be interested in who has eating disorders, or who is shagging who, or who broke up Jenn and Brad. I don't care!

I want, in turn, learn about the history of Caracas, or how the cold fusion is going to change our lives in 20 years, or what the reasons behind a real estate bubble in the US are, etc.
