Yeah I don't think Berardi and Saponara would come in the same summer. Actually Berardi is very problematic in terms of fitting him in. He's versatile enough to play in a number of forward positions, but his best spot would be under pressure from either Dybala or Cuadrado.

Sure you can, if you want a ridiculously unbalanced squad But in all seriousness, Saponara fits a more immediate and long term need, given his age, at the AM spot than Berardi would, and would be more likely to have a spot in the starting XI than Berardi.

Nope but he would be a quality rotational player to have around.

I'd actually prefer to see us build around the 3-5-2 with 4-3-1-2 as the alternative plan/plan b.

I doubt it, not enough to elevate us, just be a good/useful role player who clicks with others, ala a Pereyra. Except he is prolly a better creator then the argie.
