I think you are trying to over simplify a very complicated thing. First of all I agree that having Marchisio in the team makes the team better overall because he is a damn good DM. I am not to sure about the rest of your assesment. If Marchisio had to play with Padoin and Sturaro in a new team trying to find its identity I am not to sure it would go any better than when Pogba did it in the beginning of the season.
Also why should Gundogan be the sort of player that leads the team.
I think you are being way to harse on mkhiki, he had one very bad season in a team that was ravaged with injuries and poor form, otherwise he has been a beast for Shaktar, Dortmund and the Armenian national team. One bad season does not make him soft or the kind of player you are making him out to be.
This.

There was a stat a while ago that Juve never lost a game with either Khedira or Marchisio on the pitch this year. But both Khedira and Marchisio have a common denominator and that's Pogs, who missed only one game in Serie A this year, which was vs Lazio. Since Khedira and Marchisio played together in this one, it was much easier task than if either was left with the likes of Padoin. Imagine Marchisio trying to dictate play with Padoin at his side, instead of Khedira or Pogba. If at least 2/3 of those are on the pitch we'll steamroll past any adversary in the league. I'll go even further and say that without Pogs in the team we'd lose far more points, as he brings something extra to the table.

Well said. At the very least it is misleading to make Pogba out to be some kind of luxury player because he along with the rest of the team had a terrible start to the season. He has been the difference maker on a lot of occasions and he is still only 22 years old. I see a future leader on and off the field in him.

Juventus look to the future and are currently negotiating with Bari for Gaetano Castrovilli. The two parties are believed to have already agreed on an initial loan deal with a view to a permanent move in the future. The player will go straight into the Primavera side when the deal is completed.

There are reports Juventus offered €22m for Bernardo Silva, but Monaco want €30m.

The Bianconeri confirmed they are looking for a creative player who can link midfield and attack, with Bernardo Silva one of the candidates.

He also plays on the right wing, so could be used in a 3-5-2 or a 4-3-3 formation.

According to Sphera Sports, Juve made an offer worth €22m for the 21-year-old Portuguese international.

However, Monaco are holding out for closer to €30m.

It would be double what Monaco paid to sign him from Benfica a year ago.

Bernardo Silva has scored three goals and provided two assists in 29 competitive games this season.

According to reports in Italy, Juventus are closing in on a deal to sign AS Monaco’s Bernardo Silva, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea.

Tuttosport via Juvenews.eu—part of the Gazzetta dello Sport network—have confirmed that the Italian giants have reached agreement with the Club of the Principality for the signing of the Portuguese starlet.

The youngster will initially move to Turin on loan, with the Old Lady understood to be pushing for the right to sign the player for a fee of 20-22 million, although the Monegasques are said to be holding out for a deal of 30 million for the player.

With the figures not an enormous distance apart, expect confirmation over the coming days.

As a deal is not yet confirmed, Chelsea have the opportunity to move for the player, having been linked to his signature in the middle of December.

According to Fichajes [via the Express], the Blues were in pole position to sign the Monaco player, and were preparting a £21.6 million bid for the talented attacker.

This would make the summer mercato (not buying AM part) look great 10 out of 10.

Juventus is apparently very close to signing Bernardo Silva

found this on twitter from a guy from Portugal who tweets news,

Novica Gijevski ‏@NovicaGijevski Jan 8
#Juventus in hunt for a midfielder. #Empoli's #Saponara will be the first and the second acquisition will be #Monaco's Bernardo Silva.

hmmm this guy guessed few news so far but he only tweets 'safe' news

Can play both RW and AM. Plays RW more often.

Started half the games for Monaco so far this season. Not because of injuries, has been injury-free.

Looks decent technically, defends well too, but he shouldn't be anyone's dream AM signing.
