Coming back too early from injury to play for us, and he basically halved his recovery time to play for Chile at that world cup. A lot of wear and tear on that joint, he just doesn't quite get around like he used to. Plus the wandering eye, and the ridiculous drunk Ferrari crash.
IMO, there was a time he was the best B2B midfielder in the world. The way he could press and recover his position made it feel like we had an extra man in midfield during a lot of matches. Really nice offensive contributions at key times, too; technique was underrated by a lot of people who didn't watch Juve. He was awesome.
But yeah, iirc he lost Iniesta tracking back on that 4th minute CL final goal, and I was almost positive he was getting a second yellow in that first half. Didn't he lightly push somebody in the head or something while on a yellow? He was just way too amped up that match, couldn't control his emotions at all.
I'm always going to be fond of his time at Juventus though. A monster on his day.
