Bundesliga was never quite the one team league in the past that it is now. They literally have bought out the players that made Dortmund a rival a few years ago, and allowed them to win those titles. Dortmund is a shell of that team because of losing their top players to Bayern.

When you have so little domestic competition, failing to win the CL, and getting smashed as badly in the semis as Bayern have been the last two years is a failure in my books. It's not a spectacular failure, but it's certainly no achievement, winning that league with the team he has at his disposal, and the teams they play against.

I would say there is domestic competition, I would say there is a lot. You have to remember that competition is not only at the top. Sure, Bayern is way ahead, if not first, then it's a failure, but look at two through six, and look at what Darmstadt are doing.

There is competition, that can't be denied. If you mean competition for first, shit, then The Serie A wasn't too competitive the past few years, nor was La Liga or Ligue 1.

There is no other league with a team with that kind of monopoly of the top players in the league. Bayern can literally buy anyone from almost any team in Bundesliga. They can buy Dortmund players or just ask them to run down their contracts and leave for free.

You think Napoli, Roma, Milan, Inter, Viola would sell their top players to us? Fat chance. Juve was the best team in Serie A by far the last two years but not because of having a monopoly of the top players in the league, more so because Juve was a very well constructed team, and this, alongside a couple stars has allowed us to dominate on a very limited budget where we can't buy those 30mil+ players.

And don't compare Spain to Bundesliga. Madrid and Barca provide massive competition for each other. Dortmund provided that 4-5 years ago, so Bayern just used their financial muscle to buy their best players.
