Vidal move worth €40m
By Football Italia staff

Juventus have confirmed Arturo Vidal’s transfer to Bayern Munich is worth €37m, plus a potential €3m in bonuses.

It was confirmed earlier today that the Chilean midfielder had completed his move to the Bavarian side, but the Bundesliga champions did not announce a transfer fee.

However, in a statement on the club’s official website, the Bianconeri have now confirmed the deal is worth up to €40m.

“Juventus Football Club can confirm that Arturo Vidal has completed a move to Bayern Munich for a fee of €37 million to be paid in two financial years,” a statement read.

“The transfer value could increase by up to a maximum of €3 million provided the player achieves certain targets stipulated in the agreement.

“After four explosive and unforgettably successful years in the black and white of Juventus, Vidal’s time in Turin has today come to an end.

“Everyone associated with Juventus Football Club would like to thank Arturo for his magnificent four years in Turin and wish him all the best in his new German adventure.”

My take on this Vidal situation?

Quite honestly I'm simply outraged. Firstly regardless of whether the club pushed him or if he wanted to leave is irrelevant but to sell him at this pathetic price? PLEASE!!!! now I'm not going to start making comparisons to other moves like sterling which again was highly over priced but we are talking about arguably the best b2b mid in the world ffs!!! and to sell him to our european rivals for this price is beyond a joke, to make matters worse we don't even seem to have a contingency plan in place to use that money to bring someone in judging by the news regarding gotze and draxler in the past week.

At the very least we should have auctioned Vidal, i don't give a shit if he wants bayern the player has a price and if they want him they pay it. The fact that we accepted the first bid shows how provincial we are as a club when it comes to selling, it is quite sad.

I find it difficult to believe we will come remotely close to winning anything major this season, maybe a league title at best but in europe i feel we will regress again given the number of wholesale changes, but then again I'm not one that likes revolution, rather more evolution.

I know certain members will defend marotta with their lives on this one but seriously there is absolutely no positives in this deal what so ever be it from a technical or financial view point there is no sugar coating this one and the board quite simply FUCKED THIS UP!

Arturo Vidal calls Bayern Munich 'one of the top three clubs in the world’ as he’s officially presented after joining from Juventus.

The midfielder has moved to the Bundesliga champions in a deal worth €37m, plus €3m in bonuses, and signed a four-year contract this afternoon, with an option for a fifth year.

“It’s a dream come true to be here,” Vidal said in his presentation Press conference.

I want to win the Champions League. I feel I’m a more mature player now, I want to win over the Bayern fans.

“In Chile [Vidal’s home country], they’re proud that I’ve moved to a big club. I just hope I can make people happy, I’ll do my best. I’ll continue to commit myself the way I did for Juventus.

“I’m ready to play in the Super Cup on Saturday, but we’ll see. I like to play in midfield, but the Coach [Pep Guardiola] will decide.

“I chose Juve in 2011 for myself and for my family, now I’m ready, and I have the experience it takes to play at a club like Bayern.

“I don’t think I’ll have to change my style, I developed my game in Italy, as well as improving my quality.

“Bayern is one of the top three clubs in the world. I want to give my all, that’s the most important thing for me.”

The former Bayer Leverkusen man attracted controversy this summer, crashing his Ferrari in Chile while under the influence of alcohol, and was questioned about the incident.

“I have respect for those who wanted me here. I have changed, and nothing like that will happen.”

That's a guess. Unless you mean accepted the first club. But then that also comes down to the player, doesn't it?
we got low balled by bayern. this is a club that compared us to the mafia not too long ago yet we bent over and just took it? we got fucked true and simple, Vidal had a contract with us he is in no position to make demands of this club unless our financial demands are met, if the club truly value Vidal at this sort of price then that shows how small of a club we are when dealing with other big teams

So sad to see him go my favourite Juve player  went out of my way to get his autograph on my Vidal shirt when Chile played Brazil in London this year.

On another note Arsenal fans everywhere seem to be retweeting and favourite all Juve fans tweets about Vidal staying, man I hate them! Let's see who wins more this season.

He means he can't cope, and so like many people here who can't handle change, they have to resort to insulting former players and management for a while because that somehow makes their sad lives better.

I.e.: the usual. :D
