Like Juve would pay 40M to acquire Vidal right now. :roll eyes:
No they wouldn't.

But that doesn't mean that other clubs with more financial means wouldn't have paid that amount, and then some.

And again, if Bayern was the ONLY club that Vidal wanted to go to, what do you do? Do you go against your public word when you said that a player will only leave if they are asked to so that you can make more money on his transfer? Make yourself out to be a hypocrite?

Do you respect and fulfill the player's wishes?

My take on this Vidal situation?

Quite honestly I'm simply outraged. Firstly regardless of whether the club pushed him or if he wanted to leave is irrelevant but to sell him at this pathetic price? PLEASE!!!! now I'm not going to start making comparisons to other moves like sterling which again was highly over priced but we are talking about arguably the best b2b mid in the world ffs!!! and to sell him to our european rivals for this price is beyond a joke, to make matters worse we don't even seem to have a contingency plan in place to use that money to bring someone in judging by the news regarding gotze and draxler in the past week.

At the very least we should have auctioned Vidal, i don't give a shit if he wants bayern the player has a price and if they want him they pay it. The fact that we accepted the first bid shows how provincial we are as a club when it comes to selling, it is quite sad.

I find it difficult to believe we will come remotely close to winning anything major this season, maybe a league title at best but in europe i feel we will regress again given the number of wholesale changes, but then again I'm not one that likes revolution, rather more evolution.

I know certain members will defend marotta with their lives on this one but seriously there is absolutely no positives in this deal what so ever be it from a technical or financial view point there is no sugar coating this one and the board quite simply FUCKED THIS UP!
exactly my thoughts on the transfer.

@ vidal: I will always be grateful for his contribution, i really liked him, perfect player(grinta and technique) for juve. Now I hope he fails hard and not because he left us rather than the fact he is a fucking bayern player. I will never wish any inter or bayern player any success with the exception of alaba.

And if you don't, what message does that send to the rest of the team who witnessed him sacrifice so much on the pitch. Selling him off to Arsenal for 45mil would have been a slap in his face and the players left behind would have even more than a cattle mentality.

And Juve wouldn't pay 40m even with the luxury of already knowing how well he fits into and performs with the squad. Bayern and others know none of that and thus are taking on a greater risk.

Not to mention that there are probably more of his best matches behind him and not ahead of him. On the pornstar career trajectory analogy, Vidal isn't doing interracial S&M gangbang films yet. But he's growing in tattoos, he's getting banged by the occasional black dude, and he takes a DP every now and then. That's where his career is at right now.

Ok, I get people are mad and upset over change that's inevitable. People wanting to behead everybody like IS soldiers once Del Piero left for example. But please get this out of your systems quickly. It's ugly, it reflects a lack of emotional maturity, and it's unbecoming of a historical juventino.

I am very confused. Is this an upward or a downward trajectory?

The club should've tried to keep him, convince him to stay on for a year, and then grant him his wish.

They should've been like, we know you want to leave Arturo, but we also want what is in our best interest, so let's come to a compromise of sorts.

What we did with the Vidal sale epitomizes basic failure at Sales Management 101.
