My heart hurts from this transfer. His jersey is the only one that I have bought in the last 4 years. People on this forum and outside this forum know how much I love this dude.

My head reminds me of a famous line in regards to selling/trading a player

"It is better to trade a player a year too early than a year too late". Arguments can be made either way as to whether he should have been sold at all, and I am one of those that feel that unless the money is properly invested to fill a gap on the roster, than this shouldn't have been done. But again we don't know all of the circumstances, we've only heard one side of the story. With that being said, I also feel that if the time was right to sell him, it would be now. He's not going to appreciate in value at this point.

What is your opinion on this sale, Djanik?
He wanted bigger and better contract, that's what Beppe stated, it will be his last big contract in europe and in his career because he already stated that he wants to finish his football days in Colo-Colo, obviously Beppe said no, because Vidal had 2 years more here to prove that he deserves bigger and better contract and that his health will be good, so he asked to be offloaded, typical south-american bullshit, Juventus is reckless when it comes to situation like this and it's right thing to do, Moggi did the same when Davids has asked for big and fat salary, you can't terrorize juventus, gtfo if you acted so

I am the last person here who thinks that selling Vidal is/was funny. It's bad actually.

Man, that pre-knee injury Vidal was something. In his first season here he wasn't too much involved in attack (7 goals and 3 assists weren't an awful record, though) but he was a defensive monster. Serie A's top tackler by far (5,4 tackles per match) who allowed Pirlo and Marchisio to shine.
Then, once given more room to go forward, he exploded in the following two seasons. In 2012/13 he was both Juve's top scorer and top assister, which is something only Del Piero and Tevez managed to do for Juve in the last 20 years. At the same time, he remained our top tackler (4,9 tackles per match) and serie A's second best tackler that season. If there ever was a complete midfielder, that was Vidal in 2012-13.
In 2013/14 his numbers were excellent again. 18 goals, but only 5 assists. Only Tevez with 29g+a was better. Once again he was Juve's and serie A's top tackler (4,1 tackles per match). If not for that knee injury later in the season, his numbers would have been even better. So, this season, like the previous one, once again showed how complete this guy is.

Then last year the consequences of that injury became more obvious. His numbers were much worse. "Only" 8 goals and 4 assists, and, maybe even more important, he wasn't the defensive king in midfield (probably due to the more advanced given to him by Allegri), falling to 6th place in serie A with only 3,1 tackles per match. By the end of the season he reminded of his pre-injury self, so Bayern could hope to get that beast from 2012-2014. We, on the other hand, can hope that we did the right thing and Vidal will never be the monster from the 2nd and 3rd season in Juventus.

Anyway, his 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons deserve a special place in Juve fans memory. He was like 2 players in one body. A tackling monster who scored and assisted for fun. I'm struggling to think of another midfielder who did these things. Perhaps Gerrard in the mid 2000's.
Very true.

He made it last 4 seasons does not means he will repeat it in next 5 seasons.

I just want to show what arturo did for us.
No it doesn't .They change his DNA in Chile so now on he will be the biggest flop in Bayern history.

I will miss El Guerrero. This guy put in 100% every time he pulled on the black & white shirt. Myself and many others will remember him as the epitome of the reborn post-calciopoli Juve and one of the main catalysts of our renaissaince, that 2011-2012 season for me will always be one of my favourites. I will always cherish the fact that he came to us at a time when we were at our lowest ebb, a time when we were viewed as Europe's also rans. I'd like to think that as much as he helped us turn a new page, we also built him up to the player that he is.

I was aghast that we even considered selling him when reports of his possible transfer first surfaced. After the initial shock and sadness, I think that perhaps it is the right time for us to move him on. Last year was perhaps the very peak of his valuation, and I doubt we would be getting much more than €40 million in the succeeding years. I trust the current management and Max in spending that money well as they have earnd the be efit of the doubt.

Will always be a fan of Vidal, and wish him the best (except if we ran into munich in Europe). Wish we are able to send him off the way he derves, in Juventus Stadium, with speeches, tribute videos and 40000 chamting his name.
