Kroos was asking for 10M wages, Bayern wasnt ready to give him that, he decided to leave, Bayern let him. for 30M. to the biggest money wasters in the world, Real. he was a starter for them, german and a homegrown product (this is very valuable for Bayern as they always look to have the best german players in their team). Real wanted Gomez in 2013 and was offering more than Fiorentina was yet Gomez wanted Fiorentina and Bayern accepted the lower offer to grant his wish. this is what i always liked about Bayern and this is what i call big club mentality. a player asks to leave, you try to convincee him to stay by a better contract or other methods, and if he refuses to stay you grant his wish and sell him to the team that he wanted. you dont make him any problems, you dont go panic mode as if him leaving would be a big loss for your team, you dont create such atmosphere around your club, you dont try to force him to stay and you dont try to make him any problems by involving other teams and shop him around for a few more millions. that is small club mentality and im glad we didnt do any of these and sent out a image of a pathetic weak mentality club. Arturo deserves for his wish to be granted, if anything else for giving his 150% every game out there.
well played by Marotta once again
