He said that about Pogba but specifically said we will be keeping Vidal
However, Marotta has conceded Juventus would consider selling Vidal if he indicates he is not happy at the club.

"(Arturo) Vidal? We already said that he is not on the market, but the player's will is decisive," said Marotta.

"Vidal has never said he wants to leave, and Juventus will sell him only if he were unhappy to remain.

EDIT :

Wrong quotes these are from last year, but Marotta said the same identical thing this year on SKY when he was asked about Pogba and Vidal and its was on FI

that doesn't mean we should sell him on the first offer? Heck it took Steling weeks to seel, until Liverpool finally got the price they wanted. We sold Vidal within a couple of hours? This is madness

it was Pogba, don't think Marotta has given a Vidal interview recently to that tune..

“We moved before other clubs for our main objectives,” Marotta said.

“The transfer market [for us] closes here today. The squad is competitive, there are two players for every position, so we think it’s competitive.

The Vidal talk is just rumours, we have a good relationship with Real [Madrid, linked with the player], but these rumours are utopian.

“As for Pogba, I’ve already spent so much time talking about this - Juventus will not sell the best players in our squad.”

Marotta also joined club President Andrea Agnelli in bidding farewell to Andrea Pirlo, but insists the midfield is not weakened by his move to New York City.

“Today is a day of nostalgia for Pirlo, who played pure football, recognised by everyone, we must recognise that, he’s not easy to replace.

“The starting midfield has quality, and is athletic, with Pirlo’s exit, [Sami] Khedira comes in, with his grit and experience, and with [Stefano] Sturaro’s consolidation then we’re on the same level.”

This.

And it doesnt matter if his knee is twisted beyond repair or if he is an alcoholic... the fact remains that you just dont sell one of your best assets in a matter of a day to the first buyer without any kind of tiug o war.

Im still wait5ing for confirmation of this. Seems too stupid to be true.

My point wasn't about that, it was more about you warning to people for not posting facts, and in you post you said that Zidane was more about hype and there were better players than him.

However, what I really want to say with the best possible intentions (I really like you as poster and mod) you are sometimes to sensitive when it comes to players/coaches/staff you like and you are warning people for posting harmless comments and voicing their opinions. Some people think Arturo asked to leave, some people think Marotta offered him to BM, in both those statements people are trying to find comfort or justification, and as long it's not offensive towards player or manager it should be ok.

I think selling him will be disaster, he is the hart of the team, however I would be more comfortable if I knew he asked for transfer, disappointed but more comfortable, because at least I would know that our management is not incompetent.

Also everything is happening way two fast, so something important had to happen, and I doubt we will ever hear the whole story.
it is part of the forum rules to source any transfer 'news', lest they get banned for 3 days, would you rather i just ban him for 3 days? My critiquing aside, you should re-read the post that got warned and compare it to your interpretation above, clearly 2 different animals.

Well then, that settles it.

This man is a liar.
(If you are saying that Marotta is the lair)

That settles nothing, for as far as we know, Vidal could have asked for transfer because in Germany he can drive his Ferrari without a driving licence.

Its all speculation,

Marotta honored everything he has said since the Conte era, he repeatedly said that Vidal and Pogba are not on the market unless they ask to leave, I've watched the interviews on sky and read them on GDM's site and twitter.

I trust Marotta more than I trust Felicevich and Vidal.

Vidal lost my trust last summer when UTD was all over him and he refused to answer to fans if he is going to stay or not until he got injured and back from injury.

Vidal is known for those kind of things even from his bundesliga days, if you don't trust me ask any Bundes fan and he'll tell you the same thing.

I hope he leaves this waste of a club.

I laughed and still laugh at people who think this guy is more valuable or more loyal than pogba.

always said vidal would ditch ship before pogba and everyone here laguhed. calling vidal a captain, and in love with juve. forgetting he wanted to ditch juve last season.

but somehow pogba is made out to be the bad guy.

vidal is a drunk, and a drug dealer (remember when his uncle got arrested?). pogba is a professional.

@Hustini, bro I love u and ur optimism.

But...

The only way we recover from this is if we get a big player in return.

But if we end up getting Draxler's , it means we have accepted reality and even you can't defend beppe after all the statements he made this yr.
We are literally getting Milan'd in this case.
