TOP PICK: Bookies have SUSPENDED BETTING on Arturo Vidal moving to Manchester United. The betting shops usually know something we don't and so to suspend betting on the Chilean leaving Juventus must mean Louis Van Gaal and Ed Woodward have finally got their act together and are preparing an offer. Meanwhile the Chilean's agent has told South American reporters there will be some "news soon"...
espnfc
i wonder which bookies they are talking about.
i looked it up
here yesterday and only bwin stopped offering the betting.
skybet remained unchanged.
can you bet on him staying?
bwin offered it until today. odds were 7/10 iirc.
probably nothing. this transfer betting stuff is a very dodgy thing. you can assume that 90% of the betters are guys like the retards from redcafe who assume that they know more than anybody else just because they read a report from daily mail, quoting a chilean newspaper. at some point the bookies pretty much don´t even need to figure in any information anymore and will still profit from it...
furthermore, "suspended betting" isn´t the thing you should worry about (if you want to give betting any attention at all). when they start paying out all betters who put their money on vidal going to manu you can start to get uncomfortable... but even then it might be bullshit or a marketing stunt or whatever. i remeber a bookie paying out nani to juve-bets last year and shortly after nani renewed ^^. obviously paddypower got it right with tevez but i still wouldn´t get worked up too soon.

Some shitty sources out there saying Bayern will join the bidding war for Vidal after losing Martinez due to his injury.
bayern will meet today to discuss the situation. imo it´s more likely that they are going after a CB than a CDM. furthermore, before the injury bayern stated that their mercato is closed.
so buying vidal for 50m++ to replace martinez who probably would have featured a lot as a CB really sounds unlike bayern ^^.
