Pretty sure every player speculates on his future. Even those telling the press "im fully focused on this or that current thing". Vidal might want to play in Premier League one day even if he's very happy to stay here. Don't fool yourselves - United is a VERY big club and their new project must be interesting for many players. For Vidal too. And he's looking to double his earnings..

I believe he's agreed a contract with United but isn't sure of his choice so he's waiting for the two clubs to find a solution. Not on a sale but it could also be to stay put. United must table an offer of €60m+. If they do that.. Juve will sell. I can see Vidal accept the move.

I've been saying that since day 1.
Do you find it funny that I won't be surprised if we sell him? If that's the case then I am gladd I can make you laugh.
Apparently @DelPiero84 finds is surprising that he thinks it is funny if others do.
You amuse me, all I can say really :). There's always possibility that he'll leave, but so far no credible report have surfaced yet. British media quoting TS, Italians quoting Chilean media, and the latest his alleged friends to whom he confided of leaving for United. Hilarious.

yep, united offering 12m a season is the direct fault of our club
It's even worse as that amount needs to be halved due to taxes. If Vidal leaves for an extra mill, we'll be better off without these kind of players. Asamoah can replace him adequately, since mgmt bought rather good LB/LWB and we can invest in other areas.

To me Vidal's words are the most important here. And he was never incisive or conclusive in the sense he would remain, or would at least want to remain. He actually didn't stand for any position. He said he would be happy if he continues at Juve, but didn't exactly say he wants to continue.

Marotta is the same. He transfers all responsibility to players' will, which I don't like. The player has to be happy, yes, but the club also must have his requirements satisified. It's a 3 way negotiation, always. Saying that Vidal is staying, unless he wants to leave, is the same as saying nothing.

So basically, both Marotta and Vidal really kept their options open. With all the rumours, and mainly Chile's coach saying United wants him but Van Gaal is worried about his health, it's obvious that something is going on. It's not just dumb reports from media.

So as of today, I believe it's a 50-50 chance he leaves. Anything can happen. I don't think Marotta would be able to squeeze 60M from United. 45M looks more likely IMO (even though Vidal is clearly worth more than that).

What would we do with this money I have no idea... not very optimistic about its use though. But the club would be sending the wrong message. I would really like if Marotta was more aggressive and simply approached this situation in a more firm and decided way. It feels like if Vidal is staying, it's good. But if he wants to leave and we get 45M, it's also good. Which is not.

Also I believe if United actually decide to submit a 45M offer within the next week he's gone. If not, I think he only goes in a last-minute transfer if Vidal ups the offer to something like 55M.

if we wanted to sell him he'd be gone already. we arent selling him now due to the lack of time to find a replacement as the new season is close to start. if he is leaving then its the next 2 summers. i can see his price and the interest in him dropping after that.

I don't want Vidal gone. But if it happens and marotta doesn't milk the living sh!t out of manure and sells Vidal for 40-45M it would be fvckin retarded.
In this market he's worth at least 60M. He's the undisputed best at his position in the world, nobody comes close to what he offers both offensively and defensively on the pitch.

While for me it is also nothing serious being reported, I am only saying that I won't be surprised if we do sell him. You on the other hand is totally convinced that we won't sell him because that will make Marotta look good. The pathetic thing though is, if we do sell him you will find a way to defend Marotta.
