BBC are reporting Vidal has signed a contract with Man U already, same news feed says Del Piero is a 'former Juventus defender'
One would guess that BBC journalists would at least try to check how football transfers work before spreading their "information".

Wilshere to replace Vidal at Juve?

By Football Italia staff

There are sensational reports in England that Juventus could replace Arturo Vidal with Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.
The Chile international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bianconeri this summer, with the latest reports that the midfielder has agreed personal terms with Manchester United.
As such, The London Evening Standard has insisted that the Old Lady will turn their attentions to the England international should Vidal leave.
The paper claims that the Turin outfit are prepared to offer the 22-year-old better wages than he is on at the Emirates.
Massimiliano Allegri’s men don’t seem to be worried by the youngster’s long-term injury issues, and will make an offer once Vidal is gone.

Now British media claims that Jack Wilshere is already a replacement to Arturo.Really ,true or not,I am getting tired and really pissed of from this saga.If he want's to leave so be it,let him go.Although we put a date deadline up to 6-th of August(yesterday) but if money talks no time issue.
Anyway back in Moggi days when we sold Zidane we bought Gigi,Nedved,Thuram and Salas .And now (if the transfer goes) we really don'tr know who we will get.
23 days to the beggining of the season. We will suck this year.

We might not get a direct replacement, but would probably try and throw money at a couple of really good players like Jovetic or Shaqiri or something.
Yeah I agree that a direct replacement isn't what's needed most. Depending on what formation(s) Allegri intends to use, it's either a defender or a player like the ones you mention.

Gave back the loan to Elkann's company and profit to other shareholders.
He is gone.
Probably true.

Probably true.
They'd be forced to (overpay) and reinvest the money though, there is no way they'll be able to get away with losing our coach and best player and not at least try to sweeten the fans with a marquee-ish signing with the money we get from the sale.

It's not even to sweeten the fans, we would need to remain competitive. He's still not leaving though, so...
