i do but the 2 are not comparable imo, 2006 could have easily been the end of juventus, we are coming off one of our best stretches ever, only natural for us to aim for the top, a player like vidal cant wait 5 years for us to rebuild.
Totally agree. I really, really have a problem with people basically comparing this devastation to Calciopoli. Did our club just have their valuation basically cut by 1/3rd? Do we have to sell our best players, or play in Serie B next season? Because last I checked, we have a great group of players, and haven't even spent any money yet!

I appreciate how important Conte is, but coaches come and go. Look at the early 2000's, we rolled through a few quality managers during that period, mbut the beat goes on.

Time to remember what this club is, who these players are, and kick some ass!

anyonr know whats goin on? i think i saw arturo dancing to oasis? shit.
Inconceivable!

:D

50 mil is a lot of money for a midfielder. sure, there's players being bought for twice that amount but they're attackers/attacking mids.

this kinda money being thrown around on players is ridiculous imo btw.

and i wouldn't sell vidal even for 50 mil but Juve definitely would.

50 million, in today's inflated market, isn't a lot of money. Look at how much David Fucking Luiz went for ffs! A defender who can't defend for shit. We need to stop over-rating and over-pricing some random dickweed cuz he plays in the EPL or for one of the La Liga giants, while at the same time undervaluing our own players.

Anything less than 60 Million for Vidal is abysmal business on our part. I wouldn't even sell for 70.

Vidal is priceless and irreplaceable. If mgmt sells him they are confirmed to have rocks in their heads, especially for like 50m-60m. He is the best CM in the world right now and we're going to have spend way more to make up for the loss of quality.

I would sell Vidal for 50 milliones euro. Then buy Candreva for 25 (almost as good as Vidal) and Shaqiri for 25 (future world class player like Morata).

If this happens. I'm gonna praise Marotta as the Lord.

Pogba - Pirlo - Marchisio

Candreva

It would be so disgusting if he did end up with the Mancs. I think your boys have a legitimate shot at the title, if they can keep those young men healthy. Chelsea has done very good work, though. That Luiz deal especially. :D

Provided we're talking box-to-box midfielders, I think Arturo has overtaken Yaya "It's my party, and I'll cry if I want to" Toure, and is now the cream of the crop.

Certainly more attractive to other clubs, given age, ability, intangibles. So who else in this role do you think is the best, Fred? Is there anyone who would cost more?

Does Arturo Vidal have any weaknesses? :p
I thought Yaya was the best midfielder in England last season, he was City's best player en route to them winning the EPL, IMO he had a slightly better season than Vidal, who in comparison to other players in Juve, you could argue Pirlo and Tevez were more instrumental, its also arguable who was more impressive between Pogba and Vidal, even though this might be me biased to the Frenchman :D

Though its tough to compare Yaya and Vidal, while both are box to box midfielders, I feel they offer different qualities. If you want your midfielder to defend, and be a good tackler, no doubt Vidal is better in that department, Vidal also has more stamina and energy. Yaya on the other hand is more technically sound, can score more goals(even though Vidal scores a lot of goals for a midfielder too) is stronger physically and is a much better dribbler. Yaya on his day is a slightly better player in my opinion, its pretty close though and you can make a compelling argument for either one.

Vidal is probably more all rounded than most midfielders out there, I'll give you that, I don't find any glaring weaknesses in his game to be honest.

I have no problem with people claiming he's the best box to box midfielder, its a perfectly valid claim, its definitely not a fact though :p

Vidal: 'Is my Juve era over?'
By Football Italia staff

“I don’t know if my era at Juventus is finished,” said Arturo Vidal. “I heard interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United.”

The Chile international spoke to La Cuarta in his homeland during his post-World Cup vacation.

“It is difficult to talk about another great club when you are already in a top level team,” said the midfielder.

“I won three Scudetti in Italy and I respect my teammates. I heard of interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United, but there is someone who deals with those things.”

The Bianconeri are transforming after Antonio Conte’s shock resignation, as ex-Milan Coach Massimiliano Allegri stepped in.

Has my era at Juventus finished? I don’t know, I could stay at Juve for life. When I return to Italy I will speak to the Coach and we’ll see what happens.

“Right now all I am thinking about is the remaining seven days of my vacation.”
