Guys i'm really paying a big compliment to Vidal.
So many times he gets the big goals when Juve are in need.
I wasn't throwing a dig.
There hasn't been a clinical goal scorer at Juve, since Del-Piero and Trezeguet were at they're best.

You have no idea who davids was, so dont comment about it.

Think about everything good about vidal, add golden technique, add lunacy. That was Pitbull davids.
funny how you gloat over tactical flow and despising flair & fancy yet unable to see how vidal > davids already.

davids was better with the ball on his feet, somewhat faster and more ferocious; but yet davids wasn't even like 1/3 as effective as vidal currently is; vidal has more often won us points than davids ever was.

Davids wasn't allowed to move into the box as much as Vidal is. Davids didn't take PKs for us.

Both are great players but to say Davids was ineffective here comparing to Vidal is not right.

Pitbull

Davids allowed juventus to play an extra creative player cause he did so much work. a one man midfield. On top of that he had technique and skill in abundance.

He was however, a defensive midfielder. Because he was keeping an entire midfield at bay, he couldnt make attacking runs as vidal, or press as high.

Think of gattuso, with more energy, more fanatism, ALOT more technique and half more lunacy. Thats davids.

Did i mention in the 2003 semi final against real, he dribbled past zinedine zidane with a perfectly executed 360 ?

Vidal cannot or doesnt have

Technique like zidane - could be, Vidal still growing
ball controll like zidane - could be, watch some Chile games.
dribbeling like zidane - indeed
passing like zidane - indeed
vision like zidane - depends what area of field we are talking so debatable
off the ball movement like zidane - highly debatable
heading like zidane - debatable
free kick ability like zidane - indeed
penalty kick ability like zidane - highly debatable
leadership qualities like zidane - debatable, you don't know what's going on inside
flair like zidane - This a matter of style and likeness, not objective
a genius mind and genius moments like zidane - Most of those moments were team moments

I mean, Davids, was better then Vidal.
I would say Zidane > Vidal to this day but Vidal > Davids in probably every aspect of the game at a younger age and with more responsibility. Vidal is an absolute complete player.

Zidane on the other hand, scored over 90% of the penalties he kicked.

Allways right foot, right corner, preferably of the crossbar, yet far to fast for the keeper to ever catch it.
If the goalkeeper went early, he'd use his agility to send it into the other top corner at the last second
I'm not sure you have seen the actual PK stats or can predict a Vidal penalty.

As for heading, zidane was better, and scored headers. Cant recall a vidal headed goal before the last one tbh
Now I know you haven't seen one single Chile game.

Davids is Gary Medel with ball control & technique. There's a whole other offensive aspect in which he lacked vision, depth and precision.

Zidane, whilst kicking much more penalty's, had a simular conversion ratio as del piero and christiano ronaldo, but scored many high profile penalty's, and i cannot recall him ever missing one that mattered.
Have you seen Arturo miss a penalty that mattered? Go check the stats plz.

Davids allowed that because of the players he had on the side and because in those times Juve wasn't playing with a technical but slow regista like Pirlo. Also because of the tactical display in our formation so you can't really compare functions with those terms.

Vidal is box to box not DM, Davids had whole different functions on the field. Wanna compare Vidal, do it with more similar players like Ballack, Lampard, Gerrard, Essien or Seedorf.

No,I mean I know he can and will become a better player then pretty much all mentioned above but ignorance will cause people to undermine his quality when they look bavk on his career.

It worries me that he might start to think the same way, that he'll have to switch leagues in order to make a bigger name for himself. That may well not be his thought process at all though.

Don't worry, matters such as this are settled on the pitch.
