Vidal chasing Rui Barros’ 12…

Arturo Vidal is just three goals short of becoming Juventus’ most prolific midfielder
in a single Serie A season, says the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Chilean has netted nine times in the Italian top-flight this term thanks to
four strikes in his last three games.
The South American is now within touching distance of Rui Barros, the Portuguese
player who grabbed 12 in 29 games during the 1988-89 campaign.
Vidal is currently tied with the goal feats of midfielders Fabio Capello (1971-72),
Pavel Nedved (2002-03) and Claudio Marchisio (2011-12) who celebrated nine
times in a single season.
Vidal is the club’s top scorer this term with 14 goals in all competitions.
Juventus, who need just a point to win the championship, will end the season with
games against Palermo, Atalanta, Cagliari and Sampdoria.

Platini was deployed in a more advanced role with Juventus. He was actually more of an SS than an attacking midfielder while he was playing for Juve Zacherroni :D
He was still an attacking midfielder.
Rui Barros also played an advanced role, as most CAM's do. Comparing to him, but not platini is stupid.
If comparing a player like vidal to CAM's is a good comparison, thats an entirely diffrent thing.
And then there is the numbers of penalty's in the score aswel.

Its nice he's join topscorer, but the comparisons are ridiculous
