I somehow prefer Vidal as a trequartista. First of all, he'll lock the center down and will stifle any creativity coming from the other team while providing a lot of runs. He has the stamina and ability to pull it off a lot better.

The only thing is that he is fantastic defensively. He runs from box to box consistently and regains possession the most for us. I think playing him up there will somewhat lessen his ability to do that. It might even be worth trying to play him alongside Pirlo and have Pogba up there.

Lichtsteiner- Barzagli - Bonucci- Chiellini
Vidal - Pirlo
Marchisio- Pogba- Asamoah

That would be terrible guys, where is the width in those lineups?

If we use 4-2-3-1, we need pacey players on the side who can actually take on their defender and cross, which Marchisio and Asamoah(to a lesser extent) can't do.

It's unfair that Vidal wasn't chosen for Serie A top 11, he was better than both Marchisio and Nocerino, and one can argue even Pirlo. To me, I think Vidal is the engine that get our team going.

Indeed. I was shocked to see Pirlo win italian player of the year ahead of him. And Messi for the golden ball??

I thought that trophy had Nocerino written all over it.
