funny you mention that now, scotland. yesterday while eating dinner i thought I may be mistaken here, but were Vidal and Marchisio playing against each other?

I could have sworn they were playing together against Milan and playing in different roles.

All this discussion (especially the claims that Marchisio was good against Catania, Bologna and Siena) has tempted me to go back and make touch/involvement compilations for both players. Way too much effort though.

Errr... Not really. There's not much between them. In fact, if it was Marchisio with Vidal's stats and Vidals with Marchisio's 2 goals and 95% passing rate, I'm sure the anti-Marchisites would be having a field day. The stats aren't too great for either of them and don't tell the real story of their dominant performances.

I can make two 5m passes in a game and have a 100% passing rate.

I can too, but probably can't trap passes flying at me from 60 yards away, can't tackle Van Bommel in a 50-50 challenge, can't run non-stop for 90 minutes and score 2 goals against AC Milan in front of 41,000 people... and that's why I don't play for Juventus.
