This the impression I have, it seems like he's trying to push Vidal to come out and say he wants to leave, so he doesn't get the blame.

Why would he want to sell Vidal? Our stance all along has been that we won't sell players unless they want to leave. And rightly so, if Vidal wants to leave he can, there is no point keeping him here. But there is nothing to suggest that.

That is a stupid stance. Every player will want to leave if they got offered more money. The issue here is that Marotta has many times claimed we're not a selling club which means that keeping your best player is a must. Or else you're just another selling club.

Every player will want to leave, really? It's not just about money, especially for hispanics.

Clubs have absolutely no power anymore.

thats not what he said september last year "selling him is out of the question"
The individual situation has changed for Vidal because of all the rumours, but our overall stance has always been this. In reality it's the same for every club. It's time Vidal himself put to bed all the talk. Maybe I'm being cynical but this looks a lot like posturing by him (his agent) for more leverage, which is why I expect him to move on at the end of next season, and not to Manchester.

leverage for what? move to a club with bigger ambitions? doesnt that ipso facto make us a selling club?

We always were a selling club, there are basically only two teams that aren't, because they have the mix of money, prestigious league and lifestyle.

What about Bayern? I'm assuming you mean Barca and Real when you say two teams :D

Will the mods allow Tuzzers a one week grace period to insult Marotta and the management, Agnelli and Elkaan if Vidal is sold?!

Also, he is our best player. Selling him even for a lot of money would do no good. IN fact it would do even more hurt.
Allegri already is for a lot of Juventini a togh pill to swallow

I was wondering... Would you do a straight swap Vidal-Di Maria
Vidal will probably be leaving this or the next summer
Di Maria is on his way out of Real
Both have an extremely high price

Considering:
A. We seem to not be aiming at any WC players or players near WC level.. Di Maria could be the exception here
B. We are pretty covered in the center mid role even if Vidal leaves we still have Pogba Pirlo Asamoah and Marchisio who all not that bad... while we dont have anyone quick with great technique and dribbling skills+passing abilities in attack and Di Maria could play on the wings or even behind the strikers! I think he has shown his versatility at Real

So would you do it?

I personally rather see us keep Vidal or sell him (if he is as good as gone..) for a very high price

Marotta:
Regarding Vidal, we have already stated in numerous occasions that he is not in the transfer list and therefore we had not started any transfer dealings with anyone. It's clear that the player's will is a determining factor on whether a player stays or leaves. Vidal had never said he wanted to leave.

He actually showed that he wants to stay at Juventus. The club is not a selling club and would only sell if he isn't happy. Which isn't the case with Vidal.

If any player wants to leave, he will have to handle a transfer request. However this must come at a reasonable and acceptable time. If he goes to the tournament (pre season training) in August (1 month before the league starts) then it would be very difficult for us to give our go ahead for any possible deal.

However as I said before Vidal has never said that he's unhappy here
