Of course continued interest from a manager who clearly tried to sign him before is worrying. Especially when they can offer ridiculous wages, his head is bound to be turned.

But what's positive in this for us and bound not to be picked up by British papers and also not enter the thick skulls of Man U fans is the fact that he said he'll be back in Italy first.

This is the right way to do things because I'm sure if Conte gets any say in this transfer then it stops right there and then.

Since there are 32 guests browsing this thread(most of them united fans),this is as good a time to say this.
You guys say that we have no chance of winning the Champions league.Well,if we don't,United sure as hell won't.Look at your defence with an unbiased view. Are you telling me that a back 4 of Rafael-Smalling-Jones-Shaw is gonna deliver you the CL?It won't get you even the league cup.Your biggest signing of 35 million is a player who wasn't included in Spain's provisional 30 at 24 years of age.
You will sign Hummels and Vidal, you say?Well guess what,if and that is a very BIG if,Vidal or for that matter Hummels decide to leave, teams would fall over themselves in offering them what you will promise+CL football. You can't compete with Madrid,Barca,City,Chelsea for players till you don't have CL.
Focus on getting back into top 4 in your league, then have dreams about signing Vidal and other world class player.Because, unless the player's name is Falcao,a wc player doesn't move to a non CL playing team. And Van Gaal is no Ferguson,Guardiola,Ancelloti that players will be falling over themselves to play under.
This is a non story, which is only still alive because United fans are one of the most gullible in the world and it helps to sell newspapers.Vidal will be Bianconero till next year atleast. If we are willing to sell however,Ancelloti and Mourinho are known admirers of Vidal and have no shortage of funds to sign him.
United is far far down the pecking order. So stop believing any bullshit that the newspapers print, and know that Van gaal definitely has lesser pulling power than Ancelloti,Mourinho, etc.
If you couldn't attract Fabregas with CL(who moved next year),how the hell do you believe that you will sign Vidal???

i just dont want this episode to be used by the agent to ask for an increase in wages
he got his deal done last january.
I'm not the bit preoccupied if the offers are the one reported by the newspapers. If it was an offer of over 60m i could be scared that Juve might sell him.
Else they'd be totally stupid. Cause if we sell Vidal now next is Pogba and we'll be left with nothing.

I can accept Pogba leaving , as we all know Raiola, but not Vidal.

I feel if Vidal goes we set a precedent, what club lets their best player leave in their peak? We will never recover and be seen as a stepping stone in the new era of football

Granted that I am new to this forum. But I have been a juve fan since 2002 and am not trolling you when I said that he just gave an interview 2 hours back to chilevision where he was interviewed at a Colo Colo game where he was awarded some trophy. He was asked about the MUFC speculation and that's exactly what he replied.Unfortunately I cannot post the Video link here as I am new and the settings of the site don't allow me to. But if anyone is interested I can send the Video as well as the written link and you would understand that I was NOT kidding. https://twitter.com/CheGiaevara

I hope thats the case bec I sorta freaked out after seeing that interview

what Mus said is exactly what I am worried about.More than losing Vidal, its actually a very wrong sign to send out to other clubs and players. They will start treating juve like a feeder club.Hence all the important players at Juve must be kept at all costs

Fair enough man

Latest word I am getting from the Guru's at LVS forum is that the reason Iturbe is stalling and Di maria wanting out is that we are selling Vidal and get Di Maria, might not need Iturbe and invest elsewhere.

this is it right here. if any had to be monetized its pogba, seeing who his agent is and the fact that he doesnt have long with us today...wrt to vidal the club has to understand that you get money yes but the significant drop in midfield and overall quality cannot be recovered...

if true then this is a move juve fans should protest, rightfully so. its like yanking the soul out of the team.

Yep Pogba is clearly the most likely of the two to be sold (age factor, his agent, his most likely desire to play for a Madrid type club, we'd get a better transfer fee etc) but even then, I expect Pogba to stay another minimum season or two with us before he leaves.

I just can't see why we'd even contemplate selling our best player ( by far) and our best midfielder, esp to a club who doesn't even have CL and probably won't even be able to offer us a massive transfer fee like some other clubs. To me this "saga" doesn't make sense, and I expect in the next week or so the club to come out and finally squash these rumours.

Vidal told La Tercera: "I've heard the rumours but I haven't spoken more about this. I'm enjoying my holidays and when I get back to Italy I'll see what happens.I am very relaxed and all of us would like to be in one of the best teams in the world."

hope this is not his actual quote

Chill people. I can't see us selling him because Sanchez is already sold so why would we need the money for? Vidal might ask to leave but the club might not allow him to if it doesn't suit us. If Vidal was to force his move to MU and we'd be getting Di Maria I could see it going through but let's be honest: it's highly unlikely.

I'd hate to see him go but if he does we need to pull a Di Maria - like transfer or we'll have other players leaving once the club shows wrong attitude. I think the management knows it so I stay relaxed.
