Yeah, you could just play him in the center instead of Vidal.

But when Giac played on the wing he was always higher on the pitch, winger or a midfielder, not a defender. I think he played couple ofgames as lb or lwb but that as very rare.

Not very often, but for a game or two he's no problem there. I think Prandelli used him there more than Conte, but he's a better alternative to Peluso when you are looking to take the game to an opponent.
